This Guarantee provides upgrading at only a fraction of the cost of buying a new viola outfit. You can trade-in a viola outfit in 1 year, 2 years or as many years as you want. We will honor the guarantee no matter how many years you have used the viola outfit. You can trade-in a viola outfit for another viola outfit (regardless of the size and brand) as long as the new viola outfit's value is of equal or greater value than the original purchase price of the viola outfit being traded in. You trade in the whole outfit (including viola, bow and case) and get credit for the whole outfit, not just the viola itself. Here are examples of how trade-in credit is calculated. 100% CREDIT WHEN TRADING IN FOR A BETTER MODEL AND GREATER VALUE VIOLA OUTFIT Let's say you purchase a new 16" size viola outfit (with trade-in guarantee) that costs $500. 1 to 2 years later, your playing skill requires a better viola that would respond better to the more demanding pieces you are working on. Since you have no need for the current viola outfit anymore, you can trade it in for a new better viola outfit. The credit on the current viola outfit that gets applied to the new viola outfit is calculated by taking the original purchase price minus a recondition fee of $55 for the viola, bow, and case. Since you bought the current viola outfit at $500, the credit is $500 - $55 = $445. Let's say the new viola outfit is $1000, you will only need to pay $1000 - $445 = $555 and you get a much better brand new viola outfit.

Buying a good viola will become a waste when that size becomes too small. With the Trade-In Guarantee, you get to use a terrific viola without having to worry about what to do with it once it becomes too small. Let's say you purchase a new 14" size viola outfit (with trade-in guarantee) for your child that costs $400. 1 to 2 years later, your child will need a 15" size viola. Since you have no need for the 14" size viola anymore, you can trade-in the 14" size for the 15". The credit on the 14" size that gets applied to the 15" can be calculated 2 ways.
